Les Hiddins “The Bush Tucker Man”

A passion shared

Les has worked closely with Outback Spirit for many years, sharing his passion for the Outback and his expert knowledge of flora, fauna, Aboriginal culture and the early explorers. His unrivalled knowledge of the Australian wilderness has influenced both your tour itinerary and the crew looking after you as you explore Australia's magnificent Outback.

Unrivalled knowledge and expertise

Les Hiddins first shared his famous bushcraft skills working with the Australian Army developing survival strategies in northern Australia. Since then he has become well known to a much wider audience through his TV programmes and numerous books.

Few people are better qualified to talk about the extreme challenges of travelling in the Outback. This is why we are very proud he's chosen to recommend Outback Spirit's small group premium expeditions and be involved with our Company.

Over to you Les...

"Hey g’day, I’m Les Hiddins – some of you know me as the Bush Tucker Man.

As you may know I’ve spent a fair bit of time in the bush over the years, and I’m delighted so many fellow Aussies want to explore the Outback too.

When I wanted to share my experience and love of this country with a company that was as passionate about it as I am, I chose Outback Spirit. I’ve been involved with them for some time now, and can honestly say that they’re an incredibly experienced and professional bunch of people. They have a dead-set commitment to doing the right thing, every step of the way.

Outback Spirit will take you off the beaten track to some of the most remote and scenic areas of the country. Their expeditions are truly 'the trip of a lifetime'. And believe me; the quality of the itineraries and inclusions is amazing.

So, if you’re ready to get out and explore our great country, no-one does it better than Outback Spirit.

But don’t take my word for it.

See for yourself."
