Say G'day to the "Bush Tucker Man" Les Hiddins |

Some would call him an enigma, others a legend. Either way Les Hiddins is one of the great characters of the Australian outback. Wearing his trademark hat he has explored the length and breadth of this great country. The wealth of knowledge he has acquired over the years is formidable. But these days he doesn't spend much time in front of the camera; you're more likely to find him outback doing what he loves best.
Les knows this country like the back of his hand and we're proud to have him as part of the Outback Spirit team.
Les is without doubt, one of Australia's most passionate and knowledgeable people. He loves nothing more than sharing his experience with other Australians and visitors from all over the world. His insights into the special, little-known sights that he has discovered over the years, his amazing knowledge of outback flora and fauna, Aboriginal history and culture, and the early explorers really adds a unique depth and colour to our tours.
However, even Les will tell you that while the outback looks innocent enough, it can be very unforgiving for travellers who are inexperienced or unprepared. That's why he exclusively recommends the professionally operated, small-group tours of Outback Spirit. Les has experienced our operations first hand; he understands our philosophy and knows that we share his passion for the outback.
Les continues to be involved in many aspects of our tour operations including the advanced training of our Tour Drivers and Directors. His expert knowledge has been invaluable in fine-tuning our itineraries as well as adding new and exciting destinations to our outback collection.
There's no doubt that Les Hiddins' contribution will heighten your outback experience while adding new levels of enjoyment and excitement to your Outback Spirit adventure.
