Ecology Tour – Exploring Mornington
This morning we enjoy an informative ecology tour and discover why AWC is at the forefront of protecting threatened species in the Kimberley. Combined with the neighbouring Marion Downs and Artesian Range sanctuaries, AWC owns and/ or manages a staggering 1.8 million acres, giving threatened species like the iconic Northern Quoll and Gouldian Finch a fighting chance for survival. Later this morning we’ll take a drive to Cadjeput waterhole on the upper Fitzroy River.
Enjoy a swim and a look around this beautiful area before returning to the camp for lunch. This afternoon is free for you to relax – enjoy a walk along Annie Creek, go for a swim or relax in your safari cabin.
After dinner this evening we enjoy an outdoor slide show which highlights some of the ecological challenges that exist in the Kimberley and what the AWC are doing to combat them. (B,L,D)
