Fremantle - Captain Cook Cruise - Perth
This morning enjoy a visit to the Western Australian Maritime museum. This spectacular museum has six themed galleries, one of which houses the famous racing yacht Australia II with the winged keel that won the America's Cup. The museum also houses the retired HMAS Ovens Submarine which was built in 1969 and recently donated to the museum.
Later this morning we enjoy a leisurely and informative cruise up the Swan River to Perth. Lunch is provided on the cruise operated by Captain Cook Cruises.
This afternoon we head out to the Karakamia Wildlife Sanctuary, operated by the Australian Wildlife Conservancy. This was the first property acquired by the AWC. The sanctuary covers 275ha of Jarrah forest and protects at least 15 different species, including the Woylie, Numbat and Quokka. After a BBQ dinner we enjoy a guided nocturnal walk with an AWC guide. Our overnight stay is at the Crown Promenade. (B, L, D)
