Short Break with Tropical Light 2020

Upon your arrival in Darwin today* you’ll be greeted at the airport and transferred to the Seven Spirit Bay departure terminal. If you are already in Darwin, enjoy a complimentary transfer from any local hotel.

This afternoon we’ll take to the skies for a 45-minute scenic flight across Van Diemen Gulf to Vashon Head, home to Seven Spirit Bay’s airstrip. It’s also the second most northerly point on the Australian mainland, behind Cape York. Upon landing enjoy a friendly meet and greet by the lodge staff and management before taking a 20-minute 4WD trip to the lodge. Here you’ll enjoy a brief familiarisation of the lodge and the surrounds before checking into your unique and luxurious ‘habitat’ villa, set in natural bushland and overlooking the waters of Coral Bay.

This afternoon head to Wawidada Pavilion and mingle with your fellow travellers over sunset drinks before indulging in some of the finest cuisine in the Northern Territory. Meals: D

This morning you’ll have the opportunity for one last adventure at Seven Spirit Bay. Then, following lunch, we’ll say farewell and drive down to the airstrip at Vashon Head for the return scenic flight to Darwin, arriving mid-afternoon. We’ll then be transferred to our centrally located hotel, the DoubleTree by Hilton, for the final two nights of the adventure.

Following on from the extraordinary success of Field of Light Uluru, Bruce Munro and the NT Government have teamed up again to launch a striking new exhibition in the Territory’s capital. Named ‘Tropical Light’, the outdoor exhibition features eight illuminated sculptures across the city of Darwin connected by a self-guided path. (You’ll be escorted by Outback Spirit guides). Each piece is intended to inspire interest during the day and hold special significance when illuminated at night.

This evening begins with an early dinner at the hotel. Then, set off on foot with your Outback Spirit guides and discover Tropical Light, illuminated between the hours of 7.30pm and 10pm. Meals: B.L.D
